Thank You – and Introducing one-day Business Fights Poverty Virtual Summits

By Zahid and Yvette Torres-Rahman, Founders, Business Fights Poverty

We’d like to say a big thank you to all of you who took part in Business Fights Poverty NYC Online 2020. We are also excited to announce that we will be running a series of regular one-day versions of our flagship online conferences. Business Fights Poverty Virtual Summits will be a chance for us to come together, as we did last week, around specific challenges related to building an equitable and resilient future.

We’d like to say a big thank you to all of you who took part in Business Fights Poverty NYC Online 2020 . Below is a video we’ve put together…

We have been humbled to receive the survey feedback: 99% said they learnt something valuable for their work; 99% said they would recommend the event to a colleague; and 95% rated the event as “good” or “excellent”.

However, what was most exciting about the conference, and also about the one we held in July , was the opportunity to bring in a far more diverse and global audience than we could ever achieve with an in-person event.

While we can never replace the magic of face-to-face connection, we would like to embrace the opportunity that a digital format provides to connect and collaborate more widely. Afterall, it is only by coming together effectively as a community that we will be able to rebuild better.

As part of this, we are excited to announce that we will be running a series of regular one-day versions of our flagship online conferences. Business Fights Poverty Virtual Summits will be a chance for us to come together, as we did last week, around specific challenges related to building an equitable and resilient future.

The first Business Fights Poverty Virtual Summit will take place on 15 October , and will focus on access to health. Specifically, we will look at how we can ensure access to handwashing (reflecting the fact that it is Global Handwashing Day) and the important role that brands can play. We will also explore access to self-care, and how this can help health systems rebuild after COVID-19.

The event will be made up of a Fireside Chat, Webinar and Workshop, and will begin at 1.00pm BST (8am EDT). For the full agenda, and to register for free, click here .

We hope to see you there!
