Background:

Business Fights Poverty has teamed up with the UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) and Department for International Trade (DIT) to support the development of the Business Integrity Initiative.

In 2019 the Business Integrity Initiative will launch with the aim to promote high standards of business integrity and ethical behaviour in line with the UK Bribery Act; and, in the process, protect the reputation and strengthen the long-term growth prospects of companies doing business in frontier markets.  The Initiative will encourage and support companies to embed anti-bribery and corruption policies and good practices into their business and will pilot on the ground assistance to UK companies experiencing corruption problems in three higher risk markets initially.

Why answer the online survey?:

Doing business in frontier markets, whilst navigating local expectations with business integrity can sometimes be challenging. Your first-hand experience and insight will help ensure that the advice and support provided by DFID, the DIT and others is grounded in reality, practical and useful, it will also help shape tools and further support should be provided.

Business Fights Poverty’s mission is always to gather the experts around a problem to search for ideas and solutions, we will disseminate learnings and share insights back to the Business Fights Poverty community and to other UK SMEs with the intention to support, inspire and share best practice.
