Podcast interview with Josefine Lindänge, CEO, Hand in Hand International
This week, Yvette Torres-Rahman, Partnerships Director at Business Fights Poverty, interviews Josefine Lindänge, CEO, Hand in Hand International (HiH).
Josephine speaks about HiH, her priorities and how job creation is at the heart of their strategy. Hear about her view on the role NGOs should play in terms of training and capacity building for small entrepreneurs.
In a recent visit to India, Josephine looked at the path HiH supported entrepreneurs had been on over the past few years. Following business training support and help accessing capital, one success she highlights has grown from being a local husband and wife bread making business to exporting to the UK, Canada and Singapore and now employs over 60 staff.
HiH has extensive experience of what it takes to support entrepreneurs as stand alone businesses or as part of supply chains. They understand their challenges, their opportunities, and invite other NGOs and corporates who share their belief in the power of entrepreneurship to partner with them, to help lay the ground for sustainable growth in developing countries.
