Businesses Partnerships for the Future

With the world in the midst of overlapping social and environmental challenges and pushback in some countries against the engagement of businesses in addressing them, there has never been a more important time to build a new consensus on the role of business in society.

The Business Fights Poverty Institute is therefore pleased to be leading a collaboration supported by the UK’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office to explore the latest thinking and examples of business partnerships to address global challenges.

The final report will be launched at the Business Fights Poverty Global Goals Summit during the UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week in September. The launch will also coincide with the UN’s Summit of the Future which is seeking to agree on a ‘rescue plan for people and planet’.

Over the next 3 months, we are actively seeking your insights and contributions. We will be engaging our network to gather diverse perspectives, identify business partnerships with the greatest impact, and develop a framework to ‘future proof’ partnerships. Together, we will build a renewed vision for business action on poverty, inequality, and climate change.

We invite all members of our community to participate in this initiative. Please take 5 minutes of your time to contribute to our survey. We are particularly interested in hearing about partnerships that integrate poverty, inequality, and climate change into their core business operations, especially in the Global South.

In addition to completing the survey, if you or a colleague would like to contribute – whether it’s sharing impact data, providing quotes for the social media campaign, or any other form of involvement- please reach out to Alice Allan, Director, Collaborations, via our contact us form.

Take this 5-minute survey to share your views with the UK Government.
