Business Interventions to Improve Food Security and Livelihoods of Smallholder Farmers
In September 2013, Business Action for Africa, Harvard Kennedy School CSR Initiative and The Partnering Initiative launched a report entitled "A New Global Partnership with Business: Building a Post-2015 Development Framework to Achieve Sustainable Prosperity in Africa".
The report highlighted a set of cross-sector partnerships, where businesses, government, NGOs and/or international development agencies are combining their resources to achieve specific development and business benefits.
This case study looks at how Yara is focusing on business interventions to improve food security as well as the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
